What with every other super hero—including recent movie blockbusters featuring batman and the X-Men— confronting the effects of global warming in their own comic/tv/movie universes, I don’t think that this reboot of Captain Planet, is gonna fare much better than it did when the Captain was a slave to 5 Disney Mousekateer dropouts known as the Planeteers. A Victory for Environmtal Justice!

As part of the latest green legislation in California, Prop 82, the residents of one central-California community heavily exposed to environmental hazards will will be entitled to some of the money that comes from fines and taxation money that comes from heavily polluting companies. 60% of the money will be going towards clean up and setting up as green energy farms and also towards planting rotating crops that will revitalize the soil, while providing for the local food and textile markets in the area surrounding Fresno county. Smarterstrip: Bringing the Smarts to You

This is the first smartgrid compatible power strip that has made it to the market. Much like a router for your internet connection, smarterstrips split the smart grid connection your outlets provide. A normal powerstrip would still supply energy to connected devices, but all the benefits of connecting to the smart grid (such as energy trading) would be lost.
